Iran’s Tourism Deputy in Interview with Caspian:

60 % of Iran’s Tourism Potential is from Neighboring Countries, We Are Trying to Achieve 20 Million Foreign Tourists by 202

The tourism deputy of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handcrafts and Tourism Organization refereed to the fact that 60 % of our tourism potential is from Iraq, Azerbaijan, and other neighboring countries. He added, “Promoting tourism, especially with neighboring countries is one of the priorities of this organization.”

Morteza Rahmani Movahed, in an interview with Caspian International News Agency this morning, pointing to measures taken by the government for attracting tourists said, “In the past, one-week tourist visa would be granted with no invitation and now this period is one month. We are going to extended it to 3 months, so that the presence of tourists in the country will increase.”

He stated, “At this time, Electronic Visa is issued in most of the airports in our country.”

He added, “Promoting tourism, especially with neighboring countries is one of the priorities of this organization.”
