Caspian International News Agency reported, according to the Guardian, 13 representatives of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), in an open letter to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) demanded Russia’s total ban from Rio Olympics.
According to this report, the heads of the anti-doping committees of 13 countries, including: Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Swiss, and USA signed this letter and sent it to the IOC.
The letter stated that this verdict by IOC is a kind of violating the athlete’s rights and the committee has not been able to perform the role of a leader appropriately.
IOC had casted the final vote in favor of Russia and had not banned them from Rio Olympics before, but it had issued heavy penalties and finally, more than 100 athletes from 387 Russian athletes were banned from Rio Olympics.
