The First Branch of Russian Bank to Open In Anzali Free Zone

The Head of the Iran-Russia Friendship and Cooperation Foundation, in a meeting with the CEO of the Anzali Free Zone, announced the opening of the first branch of Russian bank in Anzali free zone, provided that the necessary permits will be obtained.

According to Caspian International News Agency, Alexander Burtnik, in a meeting with the CEO of the Anzali Free Zone, announced that other than the bank, a center for offering the essential services to Iranian traders and introducing the Russian market potentials would be opened. “The necessary conditions for signing a memorandum of cooperation with the Anzali Free Zone and also for opening a branch of this organization in Russia, already exist”, he added.

Stressing that there are remarkable potentials for increasing the cooperation between Russia’s special and free zones and the Anzali Free Zone, he said, “Considering the existing potentials and the current programs in the Anzali Free Zone, this zone can become the center of trade in the Caspian region.”

Alexander Burtnik stated that the Anzali Free Zone plays a substantial role in promoting trade, especially the export of Iranian products to Russia and other littoral states of the Caspian Sea. He added, “Holding international specialized exhibitions in the Anzali Free Zone and increasing the amount of mutual economic cooperation causes the acceleration of the economic exchanges and increasing the two party’s awareness about the products, rules and regulations, and the capacities of the two countries.”
