According to Caspian International News Agency, the governor of Gilan, in the first event of his trip to Astrakhan, visited the Iranian Trade House which is being built by Gilan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
In this visit, which also included some of the Astrakhan Officials, Najafi noted that the process of opening this trade center began in 2014, following the arrangements of the governors of the two provinces, during Iran’s Economic Capability Exhibition, centering on Gilan. He said, “Finally, after two decades of demands and follow ups of the officials and traders of the two countries, with the efforts of Gilan province and the support of Astrakhan, the Iranian Trade House is going to open this fall.”
He added, “The reconstruction of the Iranian Trade House which consists of a two-storey building at the center of Astrakhan in a 1500 m land and with Iranian architecture, is being performed at the moment.”
He referred to the registration of nearly 200 Iranian firms in Astrakhan and said, “Considering the improvement of relations between Iran and Russia, the Iranian Trade House will turn into a center for facilitating export to Russia and demonstrating Iran’s capabilities.”
