Rouhani Leaves for Azerbaijan Republic, Astara-Azerbaijan Railway to Open by the End of this Year

According to Caspian International News Agency, Hassan Rouhani, the president of Iran left for Baku Sunday morning for an official visit of Azerbaijan and attending the trilateral meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia.

In this two-day visit which is being made at the official invitation of Ilham Aliyev, Hojjat al-Islam Hassan Rohani will examine and discuss the process of adherence to the two country’s agreements and also new cooperation in the areas of  trade, industry, energy, cultural, bank, consular services, communications, and especially railroad transportation.

Attending the trilateral meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia is amongst the other plans of the president’s travel to Azerbaijan. In this meeting, Rouhani, Vladimir Putin, and Ilham Aliyev will discuss the trilateral cooperation especially in the trade, energy, communications, environmental issues, fighting terrorism, transportation, and transit.

The president of Iran will also have a bilateral meeting with Vladimir Putin and chosen issues and the process of Iran and Russia cooperation will be discussed.
