According to Caspian International News Agency, Ibrahim Kalin, presidential spokesperson of Turkey, on Wednesday announced, “Russia and Turkey have formed a joint committee about Syria and its first meeting will be held on Thursday in Moscow.”
Kalin said, “The presidents of Russia and Turkey have commanded the creation of a trilateral mechanism comprising of representatives from the diplomats, and intelligence and military forces of the two parties. This committee will have its first meeting on Thursday.
The spokesperson of the president of Turkey stated, “We have opened a new chapter. That incident (shooting down a Russian aircraft) had distressed both sides. On Tuesday, this subject was discussed and both countries will continue their full cooperation to avoid such incidents in the future. In this regard, the two General Staff of Russia and Turkey have established a direct line.”
