According to Caspian International News Agency, the French parliamentary delegation led by Claude Bartolone, the president of this country’s National Assembly will travel to Tehran (on Monday, September 5) at the invitation of Ali Larijani the president of Islamic Consultative Assembly.
In his four-day visit to Tehran, in addition to meeting Ali Larijani, Bartolone will meet the senior officials of our country, namely, Dr. Hassan Rouhani and Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council.
The French Parliament consists of the Senate and the National Assembly of this country. Palais du Luxembourg is the location of the Senate, and Palais Bourbon is the location of the National Assembly.
Each of the two assemblies’ sessions is conducted separately, but sometimes they meet at the French Congress in Palace of Versailles to revise the Constitution of France.
In 2012, the Congress had 348 senators and 577 deputies.
