On Monday, US Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Obama’s government has paid its $1.3 billion debt to Iran for settling the financial disputes

According to Caspian International News Agency, Reporting from Washington Examiner, the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not explain how this sum of money has been paid.

This money was paid for the debt arising from the arms sale in 1979 that US had promised but did not act according to it.

This media added, “After the overthrow of the Iranian government (1979), the deal on selling these weapons fell apart and Obama’s government had said that they owe the money and its interest to Iran.
