Caspian International News Agency– Local media, reporting from a security source, announced that ISIS terrorists have set several oil wells in south of Mosul on fire, to slow down Iraqi army’s progress.
According to this report, ISIS has set 5 oil wells on fire, near Qayyarah refinery in Nineveh province, and has mined the roads in this region.
These incidents happened one day after the Iraqi forces took back the Qayyarah air force, 60 kilometers away from Mosul.
Iraqi forces are conducting some operations in Nineveh, in preparation for attacking Mosul, the second big city of this country, which has been under ISIS’ control since 2014.
ISIS or Daesh, which is a Takfiri terrorist group, has taken control of some parts of Iraq and Syria since 2014.
