Iran Benefiting a Positive Economic Environment Is among JCPOA Obligations

The president of Iran in his meeting with the Prime Minister of Britain, called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) a great change, a symbol of settling disputes, and a basis for cooperation; and stressed that all parties should fully comply with their obligations

Caspian International News Agency– Dr. Rouhani, in this meeting on Tuesday afternoon on sidelines of UN General Assembly, said, “Iran has fully met its obligations, and we will honor our obligations as long as the opposite party does so”.

Rouhani, stated that Iran’s benefiting a positive economic environment is among obligations of JCPOA, and said, “Unless some technical problems concerning banks and insurance is not solved, the opposite party’s obligations are not met. European governments should assure major banks for cooperating with Iran, and London can take the major step in this regard.”

The president, expressed his satisfaction with the improvement of Tehran-London relations in the recent years, and added, “With mutual respect and a focus on cooperation in the framework of common interests, we can overcome the negative historical attitudes.”

Dr. Rouhani stated, “We have seen the results of the cooperation between the two countries in the recent years, and now there is the opportunity for expanding the economic, political, and cultural relations.”

Iran’s president, in another section of his talks, pointed to the critical issue of Middle East and stressing that our region has complicated issues said, “Iran is ready to cooperate with EU, England, and countries in the region to achieve stability and security especially in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.”

Theresa May, the Prime Minister of Britain, expressed his satisfaction with the improvement of the relations between the two countries in political and economic issues, and said, “We support the improvement of relations between the two countries in all areas.”

The British Prime Minister stated, “London will continue its support of the JCPOA and believes that the parties should honor their obligations.”

Stating that they are taking the necessary measures to solve the bank and insurance problems and to assure Iran’s benefit from economic opportunities, she said, “Britain will send a bank committee to Tehran for negotiations and technical cooperation with Iran’s Central Bank.”
