Google Messaging App is not Safe; Your Chats are Read and Saved

Google announced the launch of its messaging App called Allo but now it is revealed that this app endangers user’s privacy

Google Messaging App is not Safe; Your Chats are Read and Saved

Caspian International News Agency– This app is compatible with both Android and ios.

But before downloading Allo you should know that this app doesn’t get a passing score in protecting your privacy.

One of the main features of Allo is a tool called Google Assistant which can provide you with lots of features in a short time with the help of its artificial intelligence. In order to provide its services, this tool reads your chats with your friends and based on this, gives users suggestions and answers.

User’s chats being read by this artificial intelligence tool proves that chats are not codified in Allo and spying users of these services is possible.

Another worrying matter is the chat’s history are saved for an unknown period of time, thus Google doesn’t delete these messages from its servers instantly. However, users can manually delete these chats.

Google will probably justify this behavior by claiming that exploring the history of users’ chats helps it to provide automatic answers and other artificial intelligence based feature better, however, users who care about their privacy had better use local mobile messaging apps instead of ALlo.

Edward Snowden, in a tweet has announced that it’s better not to use Allo because it’s not safe.
