The Real Name of Khazar Sea is “Caspi”; The Khazaran People Were Allies with Russians and Jews

Khosro Motazed, in interview with Caspian International News Agency, said, “Dr. Enayatollah Reza, archeologist and anthropologist, lived for about 25 years in Russia and found many sources about the Khazar Sea.”

Stressing that the real name of Khazar Sea is Caspi, he said, “Before the Medes, Caspian people lived in Gilan, and these people were Iranian.”

The history expert, added, “Mannaeans, along with Caspians, Gutians, Elamites, and Kassites were permanent residents of the Iranian Plateau and many books have been written about them under the title of ‘Iran before Medes’.”

The history expert stressed that Khazaran were people who lived for about 250 years in the north west of Caspian Sea, and added, “Albanians lived among these people and the current Albania was a colony of Ottomans.”

Motazed noted that Dr. Reza had read all ancient encyclopedias but he didn’t found any names of Khazar. He said that when Arabs reached the Caspian Sea, they saw a dangerous people living next to this sea called Khazaran, and that’s why they called it Khazar Sea.

He added, “This people attacked Caucasus in the period of Sassanid. They were swordsmen, extremely wicked, and strange people.”

Motazed noted, “Before Khazaran, Caspians lived in Gilan, and they had made a stronghold  in there. When Khazaran attacked Tabriz in year 300, Mohammad-ibn-mosafer was the ruler of Gilan, Tabriz and Zanjan. He fought with Russians and Khazaran. ”

Stating that Khazaran attacked Iran a lot, Motazed said, “This people lived for 250 years in the north of Iran, near the current Khazar sea.”

He added, “This people suddenly disappeared and migrated to parts of eastern Europe. They leave Gilan, but the name of Khazar remains on the sea.”
