Caspian International News Agency- In an interview about the extension of the sanctions against Iran by U.S., Ali-Akbar Salehi stated, “This law exist now, but the president has repealed it and it is not in effect now. However, if it is enacted again, it will be a clear violation of JCPOA.
Regarding the possible reaction of Iranians to this action, he said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran does not need to open up that matter yet. We have taken the necessary precautions, meaning that we are ready to response.”
The head of Atomic Energy Organization noted, “In the Monitoring committee for the implementation of JCPOA, which the president had formed after the statements of the Supreme Leader, this issue has been discussed, and the necessary measures have been considered by this committee.”
In the end, salehi stated, “We haven’t stayed still in this time. We had taken the necessary precautions, but we don’t want to announce what we are going to do yet.”
