Caspian International News Agency- Bahram Qasemi, the Foreign Ministry spokesman has announced, “Considering the order of a U.S federal judge to stop the discriminating executive order of Trump, and thanks to the request of the head of wrestling federation of Iran, issuing visas for the wrestling team of U.S. has been approved.
Yesterday, American sports news resources had claimed that, in spite of the restraining immigration policies of Donald Trump, the U.S freestyle wrestling team will send a full team to Iran for attending the Freestyle Wrestling World Cup.
The controversial executive order of Trump to ban the Iranian citizens from entering U.S. on one hand, and the prohibition of U.S. citizens from traveling to Iran on the other hand, had made the attendance of the U.S freestyle wrestling team in the Freestyle Wrestling World Cup uncertain. However, the U.S. wrestling federation announced that their team will attend the world cup in Kermanshah, with 13 wrestlers, 2 coaches and some fans.
The Freestyle Wrestling World Cup will take place on 16 and 17th of February in Kermanshah.
