Pirates’ Failed Attack on Iranian Commercial Ship

Caspian International News Agency– In the entrance of Bab-el-Mandeb, 11 pirate boats tried to attack an Iranian commercial ship, but with the timely presence of Iranian Navy Rangers from the flotilla 44, they fled.

Unfortunately, pirates have been able to buy large fuel and support boats for themselves with money acquired from attacking ships, and can now travel more distance and attack other ships.

It is said that the flotilla 44 of the Army’s Navy, which includes Alvand frigate and Bushehr’s combat support ship, have gone on a mission on October 6, 2016 and will be back on March 5, 2017. This 5-month mission is considered a record.
