U.S Senate Wants to Interrogate Trump’s Son-in-law

Caspian International News Agency- If this interrogation is conducted, Kushner, one of the closest people to Trump will have been investigated.

New York Times has written that the U.S. senate is going to ask Kushner about his two meetings with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to U.S. in Trump Tower in New York, in December, and a meeting with the manager of a Russian government-owned development bank.

This bank was among several Russian banks which were sanctioned by Obama’s government in 2014, after the annexation of Crimea to Russia.

It is said that Kushner had the role of the main mediator with Western governments during last year’s presidential election, and still has this role in Trump’s meetings with leaders such as Japan’s prime minister and the president of Mexico.

However, his relations with Russian authorities had remained a secret so far. CIA believes that Russia had helped Trump win the election by hacking emails and laptops of the democrats during the presidential campaigns, a claim which Moscow denies.

At least four committees in U.S. congress are investigating this claim.
